Fuel injector needs replacing on a petrol 2014 1.8 civic with a 140bhp engine.

Looked everywhere and the only place i can get hold of some is direct from honda which are 280 quid EACH.

Found a good few sets online but not a single one of them is a uk distributor, so going to be waiting a few weeks for any of them to come, but they are substancially cheaper, about 60 quid for all 4.

Has anyone ever had such an issue with such a mainstream car with a popular engine used in a lot of civics?

The thing is the part number for the older civic, still the 1.8 engine with 140 bhp is different from the one for this car but i dont know why as im sure its the same engine? The older ones are easier to get hold of, 2006 to 2011 it says though.

I've had these issues with Japanese cars in the past, parts being dealer only and long lead times. 15 odd years ago Mazda were the absolute worst for it.

Might be a dumb question as i'm no mechanic but are there companies around that can refurbish these rather than replace?

So the part numbers ive found that apparently fit are:

16450 R2E L01

16450 RWK 003

But there is tons of

16450 RNA A01

Whats the chances the above will work?

Its still the 1.8 vtec 140bhp petrol model, just a newer version bodyshape wise.

Is that necessarily true? Surely these things aren't particularly heavy or large, so could be shipped via DHL (etc) from almost anywhere in a few days if you use some of the savings to pay for enhanced shipping?

I'm shocked at this.

Does this really mean that when parts are required on Japanese cars (you know, the ones that are completely reliable and never break down) they're really expensive??

Why weren't we told??

Don't some people clean injectors in an ultrasonic tank?

Ah yes the arrogance response rather than the helpful response, cheers.
