Hasn't yet made the national news, and I couldn't find a thread for it, but here we go again.

Given the lack of scenery, I assume all of the damage to that is from hitting people? That's pretty grim.

Given you can do that in a little FWD Fiesta, imagine the body count once a Tesla is launched into a crowd after a few seconds of acceleration yikes

Interesting that the Daily Mail crop the image from the original link photo which shows a Mercedes which looks like it was involved. It obviously did hit people but looks like it hit the Merc too.

And the Beeb using a completely different image again, implicating other cars and not the one in question. Imagine if that was your E36 and always driven considerately? Knobs.

I feel for those who are injured and the one fighting for their life, I really do.

But I always scratch my head at the thought of ever having a diary so empty, I'd find myself accepting an invitation to an unorganised car meet on an Industrial Estate. Baffling.

Young people tagging along with their mates? Yes - wishing them all the best.

I've been to a fair few myself when I was younger, (Couple of years ago) - When you're looking for easy, cheap entertainment any day of the week there's a dicey car meet.

Haven't been to many because it was not particularly my scene, and very often a game of finding the place you're least likely to die by standing.

I'd usually leave once R35 Vs. RS6 (Yes, Really - It's not just wheelspinning fezzers at these meets) started dragracing on the back straights of carparks lined with people.

There's one by us that seems pretty well organised and tends to use retail carparks in the evenings which the Police sometimes pop down to.

I have been to one and decided not to bother again after some muppet in an MX5 decided to try to drift around all the parked cars (with families walking between the cars etc).

Just looked like an accident waiting to happen.

There are different types of car meets. Some where people show up, look at each others cars, maybe a bit of revving. Others are lawless, with races etc.

Let's not be like the media and put them all into the same basket.

Plenty of these morons at the Saturday night drift meet up through Cheddar Gorge at the weekends. Always skid marks into rock faces and road furniture mown down up there. Few videos on TikTok with the police in hot pursuit.

Car meets like this are grim. I went to a few in my younger days but they are just full of morons. Now I go to places like Cars and Coffee which have good interesting cars and are static.

No surprise it was a Fiesta involved…
