I couldn't agree more.

We desperately need a government to represent the law-abiding, tax-paying majority who simply want to get on with their lives with minimal/no restrictions on their freedom of movement - if this movement needs to be by private car, so be it - and the ability to do so without continually worrying about surveillance cameras/scams orchestrated by local authorities.

I do worry about the future.

To answer your question, my friends seem to be getting along very happily in the extremely remote North West Highlands, but then you remember that Sturgeon has inexplicably* brought the Green lunatics into Scotland's developed government.

They live a 100 mile round trip from the nearest (small) Tesco in Ullapool. Public transport for them used to consist of a daily bus to Inverness, but this has been cut back to every Tuesday. I'm not sure what they'd do if some hand-wringing bureaucrat told them they could no longer drive their Volvo V70 D5.
