Currently sat in the back of a AA recovery truck after a blowout on the motorway with a 2 year old and 12 week old on board! eek

Please could anyone recommend any companies which fit tyres on the drive.

Already tried black circles and tyres on the drive.

Thankyou

Mobile tyre fitter will probably be more convenient for you, but I always remove my wheels and take them to my local garage who I buy the tyres from and they fit them. But that's because I enjoy the process and prefer not to have other people jacking my car up as there are very specific jacking points on my car and anywhere else could cause damage.

When I have previously found tyres online and looked at their approved fitting partners, my local garage is always one of them, so I go to them and buy the tyres from them, usually for a similar or slightly higher price. I just prefer to build the relationship with the garage as one day I might need really their help.

But to answer your question I think Kwik Fit and Halfords do mobile tyre fitting.

Kwik Fit always seem to have the soonest appointments available when I need them.

Another very satisfied Kwik Fit customer here. Came to our place and had the job done before I knew he’d arrived as I’d inadvertently left the car unlocked after looking out the locking nut. Chap rang the doorbell and said ‘that’s is all done sir’…

Have used Halfords a couple of times (tyres on the drive? Don’t know if they’re the same thing).

I get a bit of money off through work, the little one gets to watch a pit stop on the drive hehe

Eta: that also don’t buzz the nuts up tight as hell, in fact they don’t buzz them at all.

I'm sure if you ask the AA driver he'd take you and your car to a tyre fitting centre nearby instead of taking you home..

  • Edit, just seen the post time, it's obviously now too late*

I used Tyres on the Drive a year ago and wasn't very impressed with the experience. Turned up late, left the tyres very overinflated, and also replaced my aluminium dust caps with plastic ones. Used Kwikfit once (when I had a company car) and they were pretty good but now use a local company (https://www.sblmobiletyres.co.uk/) who bent over backwards to swap a tyre from one alloy to another while they were in the area rather than charging the full callout fee, etc.

I've used both Kwik Fit and National Tyres, always been happy - they've always been on time and delivered a good service.
