RE: Jaguar I-Type 6 Gen3 electric racer breaks cover
Discussion
“Like its competitors, the I-Type 6 now features a second motor up front that’s purely used for recovering energy under braking.”
So not a motor at all then but generator.
Why not say that? Is Cam genuinely concerned that readers might not understand what a generator is, does he not understand himself, or is he being paid by the word, struggling to pay the electric bill, and have an understanding sub-editor…?
I mean OK, structurally motors and generators can be very similar, and depending on the use case the same assembly can serve as either or both (and who knows, in later seasons the Gen 3 FE cars might do exactly that, possibly with no more than a software or configuration change), but for the moment it’s a generator not a motor.
