Donkervoort F22 released 750kg 500hp Twin Targa-Roof and ow, doubling its torsional rigidity compared to their late D8 models.

wow, just wow what a spectacular new Donkervoort F22 did they released today, 5 years in the work, the D8 GT with roof they got in 7 months or so.

butterfly doors with twin targa roof so so lovely and ow, 500hp from a motorsport audi 5 cill on just 750kg and can do 2.1 G in corners and ow, road friendly.

They made it more practical but on a minima base and all lightweight.

yeah, price is on the website, 245k euro ext tax in your country.

the Co2 gr/km is low so thats a plus, they make 75 from this F22 first model (Most already sold), all a bit different what the customer wants.

and yes 500hp on 759kg can be a handful, but with double the rigidly? it seems ok=ish still crazy but intensive if you want it to be, but not supercar heavy so not to hefty on parts on the car, so maintenance not Ferrari money.

also a bit longer and wider, better aero, so better roadholding as well, its now 4 meter (also almost 2 meter wide widest point, so proportions ok I think)and yes you sit against the rearwheels so the nose looks a bit longer, but its not a wide high nose, you can see the front wheel wings.

I wonder how it looks for real, so I gonna take a trip to Donkervoort in 2023 its not that far away in Lelystad.

It’s like a Caterham grew up and went to the gym.

Mental (in a good way) but way too expensive if it’s nearly Pists territory.

It makes you wonder why Caterham never succeeded in evolving the 7

Discovered these through Forza (I think? Maybe PGR?) and I've always thought they look insane. This one is a nice evolution of the design. Never seen one in real life so they must be rare.

I was thinking more because their build quality is just about excusable at their current price point(s). Only know 1 person who bought one factory-built and he had to have it effectively rebuilt by his race mechanic. One memorable feature was the handbrake cable which was rubbing on something and had begun wearing through after around 500 miles.
