Xmas and service stations
Discussion
The main services on Motorways are required to be open even on Christmas day. That doesn't mean full facilities, but Toilet facilities, some food provision and fuel.
If the petrol station sells sandwiches and has a toilet that would cover everything, so if you've got a little one it's best to take some food/drink with you.

I had to drive from Poole to Edinburgh on Xmas day a few years ago when my dad passed away unexpectedly. The main motorway services had their petrol stations open. The smaller petrol stations were mostly shut after 6pm. The most annoying thing was the 60mph limit on smart motorways when they were practically deserted. Good luck and a safe trip.

What car doesn’t do 300 miles on a tankful!
I’ve an 80 litre tank and the car is showing 310miles at the moment. I’m sure it’ll increase once I’m on the motorway. 300 miles one way by the way.
