How many cars have you owned in 2022?

Inspired by a few members on here, I decided that I would play in the budget end of the car market in 2022, get the spanner’s out again and do some DIY on a couple of project cars.

Ended up owning more cars than I expected during this time - never more than 1 at a time though - with 5;
- Alfa Romeo 916 Spider


- Mini Convertible


- BMW E88 120d Msport convertible


- Audi TT 225 Roadster Mk1


- BMW E85 Z4 2.5


Currently running the Z4 as my daily and will probably change it for something else once the weather warms up in the new year.

My wife thinks I’m mad, but tolerates it as long as I don’t have more than 1.

I’m probably far off some on here, so how many have you had during 2022?

Daily driver at the start of the year was a 21 plate Ibiza Xcellence Lux DSG. I stupidly changed this to a 2018 Hyundai i30 (don't ask me why, I don't know), but corrected this mistake in May by offloading the i30 and buying a 21 plate Mini Cooper Sport auto. So that's 3.

I had a 1997 Renault Clio as a "modern classic", which I took to the Festival of the Unexceptional in the summer and then managed to sell it. Then on the look out for something else to replace the Clio, I saw a 2006 Mini One at a local garage for a decent price (only £400 more than I'd sold the Clio for) and put a deposit on it. However, for a variety of reasons it wasn't actually ready to collect until last week.

I've also bought a project modern classic to do up with my neighbour, a 2000 X plate Vectra SRi 150.

So that makes the 6 for 2022, I think it's the most I've owned in one year! 3 at once is also a new record, and the Home Secretary has decreed that there can't be any more
