I'd agree its a V40.
To narrow the search down a bit further, it looks like may be an "ES", "SE" or "SE Lux" spec as there's quite a bit of sidewall on the tyres. The majority of V40s out there are the more fashionable "R-Design" which have lower profile tyres so could cut down the number of suspects a fair bit.

I'd say it's an early V40 rather than a face-lift, as the oranger side markers were only on the early ones. Ours was 2013 and had them, but I believe they were phased out pretty soon after.
I would have thought it was a facelift judging by the light signature but I stand correctedSpleen said:
Come on then, what's the backstory?
The occupants of the mysterious Volvo were smearing dog faeces on the door handles of a neighbours new Ford Transit custom campervan conversion. According to the police this is to check if the van is being used. A few days later they came back at 2am and spent 2 hours overnight trying to break into it.Edited by Spleen on Thursday 29th December 05:26

Not sure if I've misunderstood some kind of in joke here.Going around with bags of wet dog s
t cannot possibly be the path of least resistance for a thief looking to check if a camper van is being used. (Presumably "used" here means "occupied at night". Otherwise I can't imagine why they would care anyway.)Bennet said:
