Hi all
I had full no claims discount until I was taken ill in 2020 and sold the car. It's been nearly 3 years and I will be getting another car. By the time I do get another car it will have been 3 years since I had car insurance.
Will I have lost my no claims after 3 years and/or is there any specialist insurance company that will look at that?
I dont wanna google it because there will be just a load of standard ads from all the standard companies so I'd rather get some advise here first.
Thanks in advance
Last car was a bmw525d msport and it's a similar car I'm looking to get.
I was going to try Adrian Flux as theyve been recommended and i have had insurance from them many years ago.
Thanks

What sorts of quotes have you been getting when entering zero no claims?

NCD normally expires after 18-24 months. If you talk to someone nicely they may take your previous level into consideration, but you might be out of luck

I havent tried yet purely because of the fact I was told not to drive for a bit following a stroke and so I havent attempted online. It makes the process more difficult once I need to enter those details about medical history.
Previously I used to get quotes with and without ncb and on some sites there would be hardly any difference.
Like I said due to my medical history I doubt the bog standard online quotes will be able to do it. Normally will be told to ring in I presume

If your over 25 OP it wont be that steep for insurance even with no ncb.

2 years is the limit generally on how long ncb lasts.

Well that's your first job, get some quotes.
