Either a car you've previously owned, or maybe your current one...

Mine is for 4 years between 2016 and 2020 - A 2016 MK7 Fiesta ST2. Though after currently owning my 2018 Mazda MX-5ND2 2 litre for over a and a half years so far, an with no intension of changing... this could easily pass the 4 years target..!

I’ve one I bought in March 1983 still in the garage…to be fair it was only my daily for a couple of years and nowadays does hundreds rather than thousands of miles per year…

A personal best here.
2014 Skoda Superb, purchased @ 6 months old (2k miles, 14k, when cars were well priced..)
8.5 years in. 60mpg/£30 a year tax
75k miles. Just changed the pads..
Smooth/huge/comfortable over the Uk downtown Beirut road surfaces.
Aim to keep it 10 years at least !
WBAC value 6k. So cost me 1k a year.

7 years, 8 months and counting.

Focus ST estate. Does the job, reliable - but would have changed it a while ago if it weren't for Covid, not doing so many miles, and now the crazy prices and waiting to see what happens with those!

Will have had my 355 for 7 years this summer. Its flown by and if my finances allow I hope to keep it for another 10 years or so.

Its unusual for me to keep a car more than 3 or 4 years.

I owned an Impreza Turbo Terzo for just over 10 years.

Currently have a W204 C63 which I've had for just over 5 years and no plans for getting shot of it any time soon.

My record was just shy of 12 years with a Legacy GTB. Great car, I only sold it because I ended up barely using it after getting a work vehicle.

Bought my Mk1 Focus RS in Jan '06 - still have that stored away now.
205 GTI was bought in October '08 - as above, still have that one and use it fairly often.
I also bought my mum a brand new 1.4 MG ZR, to replace her old metro, in November '03 - still got that one too now as the regular use car.

There have been other cars in the meantime / before & after those, but the 3 above are the longest ownership cars. Most of the others have been between 1-3 years overall.

Cavalier Turbo, 19yrs having vowed I'd never part with it but life changed and with it, so did my priorities. The irony is the next longest is the current sheddy Volvo V50, coming up on 6yrs now and I think I'll be more upset when it goes... but only if something terminal happens.
