Just been reading the longest you've owned a car thread and wondered what the most miles you've put on one car is.

The most on one of my own is 38,500 miles in just over 2 years on an '03 Yaris including a 5K mile road trip round Norway and Sweden. Only got rid after someone pulled out without looking and wrote it off.

My current '13 Berlingo Multispace is about to tick over 30K miles with me and I can see it staying for plenty more years, so it'll pass the Yaris by the end of 2023.

How about you?

My 2008 Cayenne S had over 180,000 miles on it when I sold it to a neighbour for peanuts. She still has it at 201,000 miles and still going strong.

185,000 in a Peugeot 206.

If we keep it in the family around 350,000 on a Saab 9000 passed on to me be a relative halfway through.

Both rusted to death with plenty more to go otherwise.

The most I've put on a single car would probably be my 306 GTI-6. Bought at 128k and currently on 183k, so I've done 55k in it so far.

54,000 in a new Seat Ibiza 1.6 FR TDI in just under three years.

I did a fair few motorway miles and as a poor graduate the 65mpg combined was great.

Not moon mileage but my mileage post covid is so low I doubt I will do more in a car.

Got a 2017 Astra in May 2018 on 15k miles, got rid in December 2022 on 120k miles, so 105k miles in 4.5 years. The majority of those miles were between purchase and the end of 2020.

Would still have it now, but despite the mileage the DPF got blocked, as well as the fuel injectors and needed quite a lot of money spending on it, and I was thinking about changing cars anyway.

2012 Toyota Hilux- had it brand new and put 237k on in 10 years. It was a company truck at my previous company.

Never broke down in 10 years. Only serviceable items changed throughout the duration i had it. Power steering pipes were replaced due to them rusting away but still on original turbo gearbox clutch etc. Unbelievable reliability!
