Evening all.

My problem is as it says on the tin. My 2004 Audi A4 Avant (b6) has airbags within the rear side seats where I want to strap a baby seat in via the seatbelt. There's no isofix points I can find. I'm not sure putting it in the middle is safe or legal, but I'm not sure I can put it on a seat that has an airbag in it either.

Pics are attached.... As far as I can see it's just an airbag on the door side of each end seat at the back. I can't see any sign of there being one in the front seat to fire backwards and the roof/side curtain ones are just over the front seat.

Advice welcome. Google tells me I may need to get the rear seat airbag turned off on that side? Apart from that I cant find any advice, so any options welcome.

Thanks

Those are curtain air-bags which go off for side impacts. The bags to worry about with child seats are the ones in the front compartment.

Ultimately double-check the handbook, as Audi will know, but a short discussion: https://www.childcarseats.org.uk/choosing-using/ai...

I deleted my previous post as it may've been wrong. I thought I knew about B6s.
