Hi there,

I'm half tempted to get my wheels refurbished soon, and instead of going the OEM diamond cut I'm tempted to go "flash chrome" from here

https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/alloy-wheel/f...

Here's an example of a different wheel design in the finish

Is someone able to try and put that finish/colour onto this photo so I can see roughly what it'd look like?

Or this image

Many thanks in advance!

Of the many, many wheels I've had refurbed on many cars, the ones I had done at 'The Wheel Specialist' (ha!) were both:

- The most expensive I've ever had
- The worst I've ever had.

Find somewhere else.

The one near where I am seem to get good reviews, but they do seem costly, so thanks for the tip!!

Either way, the colour/finish is fairly common amongst refurbers, so I'd still be keen to see what they look like! biggrin

I have to agree with this. I read the reviews for my local one. Seemed good and the work was utterly shocking. To a point on all 4 wheels they didn’t even remove wheel weight sticking pad and just coated over it. Over baked them so the finish was bumpy.

I can only assume they buy reviews.

Disgusting quality. I’d be better off attempting it myself. Find someone else.

Lepson’s in Kent is the only place to go for wheel refurbs. Even if you you to travel overnight it’s worth it.

Total Wheel Works in Nottingham is great, if you’re in the area.

I'm around Fareham, so that's a bit of a trek hehe

I have used A! Powder Coatings in the past, twice, and both times I have been very impressed. Bit of a pain to get to now that I have moved.

Try Chris at Exel wheels. He comes to you with a replacement set of wheels. Service/quality second to none.

I've used the Fareham branch of TWS a number of times on various wheels with various finishes. Their work was fine and I'd have no concerns about using them again.

Our local Revive wheel franchise did a great job with the Mrs' wheels, I'd recommend them and there's one in Portsmouth: https://www.facebook.com/RevivePortsmouth/

I have used The Wheel Specialist in Chester, good service and good finish.

My car 335d now has 18” BMW 398 wheels in silver (18” to improve ride quality at potholes etc). The wheel shown off the car is one of my original 19” BMW 442 wheels which were previously diamond-cut wheels but now stripped and powder coated in a gunmetal finish by TWS.
