So, for those of us who have arrived at this Bank Holiday without a clue what to do with it, what car related stuff is either going on, or is worth doing?

Could be going to a coffee spot, a show, maybe a museum or a long drive. What are your plans and/or what would you suggest to someone with a bit of time to spare?

I'm going to be replacing some rear springs and some glow plugs (on different cars). You're welcome to come and help. If you have more fun things in mind, I'm afraid I have nothing to offer. I'm not sure what this says about the stage of life I've reached.

If the weather forecast stays sunny, then the VaJazzle will get washed and ceramic sprayed this evening, the 520d lease car might get a strong chemical wash at the Eastern European car wash, and the Bussat will get its second coating of Autoglym Lifeshine Carbon Ceramic Coating.

Bank Holiday Monday looks dry so might wash the car, go for a drive then wash the car again.

Fancy some straight-line acceleration action ?

https://santapod.co.uk/festival-of-power.php

First whiff of Nitromethane from 10.000hp V8s, maybe 300mph in 3 seconds,

fingers crossed for dry track, grandstand, and pits.

I’m heading up to Ignition Cars and Coffee for lunch on Sunday.

Both cars will get a clean and I’ve got a few bits to fit to my 335i (cam sensors, VANOS check valves and a stock paper filter).

Some nice ideas! Nobody wants my help working on a car believe me, I wouldn’t trust myself to change a plug. smile

The 'Wheelnuts' show in Stroud on Sunday is worth a visit. Have been for the last few years and it's always been good.

Yep , that's a good shout. It's a great little event for a very worthy cause.

Magnificent Motors on the lawns opposite The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne this weekend. All very civilised. Magnificent pubs and restaurants too and a lovely drive around Beachy Head to boot if you’re not too pissed.
