Current fuel prices… what’s happening?

Returned to the U.K. after a month overseas to see the following in a local supermarket forecourt.

Petrol E10 142.5p
Diesel 132.5p

Last time I looked diesel was at sitting at around 165p

Has that many people ditched their diesels? I doubt refining margins have caused this quick drop.

Still 20p in favour of petrol around my way. 129.9 vs 149.9 (London outskirts)

I noticed diesel was 10p a litre cheaper than petrol just over in Wales last week.... Where I am in Nottingham petrol is still lower by a fair percentage... Confusing!

Diesel B7 should be cheaper than petrol E10. Around here, NW Wales, diesel is about 2p dearer down to 2p cheaper than petrol

Did the UAE or USA up production and bring down the market price?

£1.33.9 for diesel, £1.36.9 for petrol in NI currently.
Diesel should always have been cheaper as its less refined and therefore less costly to produce.
Good to see the prices dropping, hope it keeps going in this direction.

The tesco round the corner from work is currently £1.32 for diesel and £1.39 for petrol.

I paid £1.72 for a distress trunk road purchase last week. This week:



It's £1.51 at the nearest supermarket.
