In 4 weeks, I'm heading to France and it will almost certainly be in a car that I have not yet picked up, let alone got a V5 for. I've just been through the Crit clean air zone application thinking I'd be clever and just get it before I have the car but it asks for a photo of the reg cert and I cannot find any info for how you get around this. I guess when I have a new keeper supplement, I could maybe just try and apply with that but anyone know if there is another option?

The fine is £58 so as a backstop, don't worry about it.

Yeah but it looks like I could get that fine 4 times over so I'd rather avoid it! I have emailed the Crit air website but as yet, no reply. If I don't hear back, I'll just do the application with a photo of the new keeper's supplement and see what happens.

Indeed. Especially if you are in a car that is new enough not to draw attention to itself and you are just driving through a zone rather than leaving the car parked up for a week in a public car park inside a zone.

And then throw it in the bin.

DVLA will give the French state details for this so while it's obviously a course of action, it may not be a clever one.
