Car hunting on Saturday.

Looked at a 2018 1.5 Mini Cooper.

Checked the fuel filler and saw that the sticker inside said

E5, E10, E25.

Let me guess, in 5 years E25 is coming?

Discuss.

It means your car will be compatible at least.

Wait until you hear about E85…

Next they're going to be doing E17, but it's only going to be sold in Walthamstow laugh

I believe E25 is standard in South America.

Yeah we are the outliers here. E85 is popular in parts of Europe and majority of USA, no? Can't imagine it would be cheap to import it since we don't have the land to grow enough crops for biofuel.

Yup. And other markets. It's the highest level before the guts of the car have to be changed. I think at they point they are categorised as Flex Fuel Vehicles?

I'd be surprised if the U.K. went far beyond E10 given the rising backlash to biofuels and their huge, negative environmental impact and food pricing.

E100 is relatively common in South America too.

And my (relatively modern) daily can't even run on E10 without dissolving...
