i have had the 3 family cars on a admiral multi car policy for a few years now & it always seems ok.

This morning I get renewal & the premium has gone up by 45%, nothing has changed & not reason why the jump.

Has anyone else experienced such a hike in premium or does anyone else have any recommendations for another multi car provider.

I’m sure I read an article saying car insurance inflation is at 43%…. So your increase is about in line with that.

Often multicar isn’t the cheapest option either. Worth checking the comparison sites to see if separate policies will be cheaper.

My renewal this year with M&S was up 50% on last year at £600. Age 41, 2015 330d in North Hampshire.
Despite shopping around best I could find was £490. Just a result of inflation I suppose. Car parts and labour for repairs cost more than last year.
Worth signing up to topcashback.co.uk if you haven't already. Received £35 for going through confused.com via topcashback.co.uk. It's a extra admin but only took 10 mins.

I just had my renewal notice and it is showing an increase of around 40%, so I will have a look for an alternative, because I cannot see how they can justify that hike.

Worth checking the ‘search’ function as we’re getting more than a one similar thread a day. Last one has the reasons, ‘Insurance - what the heck?’, replied to this morning.

Seems par for the course unfortunately. My multi-car premium was up about 35% and for the first time I can remember, shopping around couldn’t really improve on that.

And to provide balance, my Admiral Multicar policy renewal fell 5% from last year.

Our Admiral Multicar has gone from £740 to £1300 this year - no claims, changes of circumstances etc. Did think it was really cheap last year though!

Paying circa 25% more than last year on my 2 car multicar policy.. Did a quick go-compare search to suggest I should stay with Admiral, as all other insurers are crazy expensive..

Mine went up from £1200 to £1800 with Admiral - did quite a bit of shopping around and no one could get near that price.

Surely its about time we had a separate insurance forum.

Indeed. That way, when someone wants to start a new thread asking why their insurance is up 45%, they can immediately see the myriad of other threads where the same question has been asked and answered.

I’m not sure your single post balances the number of threads regarding this huge increase in car insurance, and similarly the number of reports in the media regarding the same. You’ve been lucky.
