Which currently produced car (will accept a very light facelift, but not new model/same name) has been in production the longest?

[this isn't a trick question, I don't know the answer but had my curiosity raised by someone asking the same question elsewhere about airplanes]

The current Fiat 500 was released in 2007 and other than a small facelift in 2016 it is pretty much unchanged

Not a current production model but the original beetle must have one of the longest production runs.....

Tesla Model S has been running since 2012.

Dodge Charger has been running since 2006, and is just about to go out of production.

An all-new 500 has just come out, replacing the 2007 generation.

My guess would be the 7 or Morgan. The Chevy Suburban holds the honor of longest continuous production run of a model that is still made today (1930s onwards) but the latest model came out a year or two ago.

Surely the Landcruiser? Toyota have been knocking them out since the late 50s.

The J70 might be a contender but I think that’s been around since the 70s.

Nissan GTR?

That came out in 2007 according to Wikipedia and though no longer sold here, is still available in Japan and USA.

Chevrolet Corvette has been in production since 1953, but now it has gone midengined it's arguably a different car.

Probably something in America that is totally not the same car anymore but has retained the name/essence.

F150 or the Silverado or something like that? Or maybe something utilitarian along the same vibes? Land Rover or Land Cruiser?

Similarly the Chrysler 300. I had a nice brand new one on holiday last week. Current model goes back to 2011 model year, but was pretty much a facelift of the original mid-00s version which was in turn based on early-00s Mercedes platforms.

Speaking of Mercedes, the military version of the original G-wagen only stopped production in 2022.

Even the retail version existed for 39 years. The 2018 new model was officially the "Second Generation"

Didn't PH post an article about the old Land Cruiser still being available in Australia?
