How to Send an item for Repair to EU - which courier?
Discussion
I am trying to send a 2.5KG electric motor back to the Netherlands for free repair under warranty and really struggling with picking a courier - seems the customs bit is causing the issue as my understanding is if the repair is free then there will be no tax to pay etc.
for information it is an Infento motor for a go kart.
can anyone offer any advice / how to do it?
thanks in advance

You will (should) have already paid tax/duty on entry to the UK so if you are returning it, there will be none to pay.
There will need to be paperwork to back this up, however.
Does the supplier not have a preferred courier whom they use to export that they can put you on to? It makes most sense to deal with the people who brought it over.
If not, someone like DHL Express should be fine.

As stated by HMRC website I should not be liable for any additional costs as this is a warranty repair.
However DHL, Parcel force and others have no option for Reason for Export: 'Repair under warranty no duty etc. to pay'
It's very anyoning...
I have asked Infento if they can arrange for courier to them and send me the bill.... (they have already said they will cover the return post and repair obviously)...
