Twice in the last couple of weeks I've been driving along at 70-80 on a fairly busy but flowing dual carriageway when I've encountered a group of 4-5 cars all doing 60mph in formation spread between the two lanes of the road, preventing anyone from passing for some time while someone hangs out of the lead car to take moving photos of the group of cars lined up behind them, refusing to let anyone by until they've got their photos.

I'm happy that people are enjoying cars together, and I'm not one to take a hard-line on the rules of the road, but IMHO if you want to do things like this, you can get up at 6am on a Sunday morning and do so when there's no-one else around, not mid-afternoon when the road is busy and you're delaying others.

It's just strange that I can't recall ever encountering this until recently, and then I came across it twice in two weeks. Is this a new social media trend for rolling group photos? Another symptom of the general post-pandemic DGAF about the impact you're having on others? Or just random chance?

Random chance. Wouldn't read too much into it.

Probably as they are selfish bellends.

Some tube will be along to try and make it your fault for going too fast, and them doing the speed limit etc shortly. Ignore them smile

rofl was iphonedyou the photographer in the lead car?

OP i'm in agreement (although it is slightly 'boomer yelling at cloud'), don't understand the mentality of inconveniencing other people just to get something 'sick blazeit' for Da Grams - especially when these idiots have 'sick builds' which 99.9% of the time are a financed German car, with a financed air ride kit, some God-awful tints/wrap and some crap Rota/Bola/Whateverreplica wheels.

If you find yourself immediately behind them, put your headlights on main beam and cock up their camera's exposure.

Yeah, I was thinking surely the way to get them to move is to ensure you're in the shot
