MOT and headlight wipers

I seem to recall someone posted a link some time ago to the exact requirements of an MOT for cars, in particular requirement for headlight wipers if fitted, I am wondering if anyone knows where to find it. I recall headlight wipers being mentioned in it.

I have googled and given up. Having a conversation with a pal after watching a short clip on headlight wipers, and I recall that if fitted must work to pass the MOT, but only for vehicles manufactured after a specific date, and I am talking about regular headlights, not those with a zillion watts which I think do, or was that for washers?

Luckily for me the ones on my old Volvo gave up the ghost and were exempt. 2002 reg.

That sums it up nicely, thank you. Both of my wiper motors gave up the ghost and was mega bucks to replace, but as I said my vehicle was exempt.
