I recently left my salary sacrifice scheme and purchased the vehicle. I was in the scheme for just over 3 years.

Upon applying for personal vehicle insurance with Aviva, I included 3 years of No claims on my application.

I submitted a signed letter from the scheme company (zenith) confirming no incidents reported during the 3 year period

Aviva are refusing to accept this letter as “the no claims discount isn’t mentioned”.

Any help or advice please?

Nothing to help, but I honestly can't remember the last time I was asked for proof of NCB.

And I change my insurer pretty much every year.

NCD is techically only earned by a policyholder. As you didn't hold a policy, all you can do is request that a future insurer 'mirrors' your driving history with a discount. Some will, some won't (it would appear).

I did exactly this when I handed back my salary sacrifice car (can't remember the insurer) and sent them my previous personal policy renewal (stating x years NCB) and then the company letter stating no accidents or claims within x years and they just added the two together. I guess ultimately it's at the discretion of the insurance company, but you've nothing to lose by going up the chain...

You could also try getting your HR dept to do another letter stating no losses etc.
Hopefully the 2 letters together will b acceptable although no guarantees.
