Audi 3G mmi basic satnav help

[JoeJoe92]

I recently bought a 2011 audi A4 allroad with the 3G basic mmi system fitted. Unfortunately it looks like the original CD which loads the satnav has been used as a coaster and is scratched up to hell and is not working, I can hear the disc skipping in the player.
I can't find a matching 2011 disc to replace it, so I was wondering if there would be any issue with me just fitting an updated disc from 2015 or more recent. Or if I would need to carry out the full MMI system update using the SD cards in order to load the more up to date maps.
