What do you make of this parking situation?

I use this spot in the mornings, pre 8am to drop my daughter at the child minder's - I leave the car for 5 mins max.
This morning, I got there about 0755, and as I was walking away I heard someone calling after me, seems a council parking warden on a moped had followed my car to then tell me that I won't be able to park here. I don't know if there was a little bit of miss communication, because as I understand it, these signs suggest I am fine to park here until 8am? He did then seem to imply that because of the school, they were going to be changing it so that no one can park here at any point......but again as I understand it from the signs, nobody is allowed to park here from 8am-630pm anyway, so not sure what the school has to do with it?
I did tell him I was going to be 5 mins at most and he said fine and left. But I'm left slightly confused as to whether the council will be removing the parking lines and changing the signs, or if maybe he thought I was planning on parking there all day and as such I was 5 mins away from being fined?

i suspect he thought you were thinking of parking there all day. that sign is pretty clear, you're good up until 8am. you might have been cutting it a little fine if you arrived at 0755, but you're good until 8am, until that sign changes.
Ok good thank you, I was starting to question myself about the sign - so I am reading it right. I guess I'll just keep doing what I do until something does actually change, if at all. And you're right, maybe he thought at 0755 there's no way I was parking up for 2 mins, which is exactly what I do actually do because the drop off is a 15 second walk from that spot! Maybe the bright green Focus RS element didn't help?

Yeah I agree, it was kind of him, just the things he was saying were confusing as I'm fairly sure he was making out that they were going to be changing that side of the road because of the school.....Alex_225 said:

Yeah fair point, and I was as close to 100% certain about what those signs meant, until this morning! And had he not mentioned the whole thing about 'they're going to be changing it' I wouldn't have questioned myself, I'd have just said "I'll be gone by 8am so all is fine" Most road users likely don't read the signs or have a clue what they mean and to be fair they're not entirely clear cut (hence this entire post haha).
Anyway, I guess you guys have confirmed what I already knew about the signs, and I'll just wait and see if they do indeed actually change it, or if it was a bit of miss comms.
