I have had my car stolen and recovered with damage can I claim for the 50% loss in value if the insurance company choose to repair it

It should be repaired to the same standard it was before it was stolen.

You are not, (as far as I am aware) entitled to any other compensation.

You can hope they might write it off and pay you a fair price.
