Spotted heading south on the A1 last Saturday at around 1100.

5 or 6 police discovery's acting as out riders, blocking junctions etc.

Then around 5 Army Man trucks interspaced with a police riot vans front and rear.

Quite the convoy can only assume something nuclear based given the resources, never seen anything like it.

Not really, this was one was clearly transporting something.

I'm almost certain someone on here will shed some light and satisfy my curiosity.

The other one is a a fair bit more ambiguous although again hardly ROFL worthy.

The last time I asked a similar question someone had posted a news link within the hour, can almost always rely on PH for these matters.

The nuclear convoys were always interesting in the little details, like the external padlock and hasp on the tractor units…. They used to use Merc tractor units, and the convoy consisted of their own recovery trucks, fire engines, armed personnel in a coach, and unmarked ‘chaps’ way out front and behind in either unmarked LR products or Landcruisers. Not seen one for a while, so whether they have swapped to MAN or not I don’t know.

The rather large HGV is usually a giveaway for nuclear transport.
