Help with Audi Extended Warranty
Discussion
I have an Audi Q7 4M 2016 model currently on 65,100 miles. I took out the Audi Extended Warranty (https://www.insurewithaudi.co.uk/extended-warranty) last year with the Named Component cover. I took the car in to Audi recently as it is developed a noise in the engine and they confirmed it was the timing chain.
In order for them to process the claim under warranty they will need to disassemble engine to confirm it is the timing engine and then get the work approved. I will be on the hook for the costs until the work is approved.
The warranty book is clear that the timing chain should be covered and judging by an internet search this is a common issue on the 3.0 TDI engine.
My predicament is that I am on the hook for the costs until they approve the work so I am just wondering of any ways Audi Warranty may try to get out of approving the claim. Do you guys think they could use the service history in refusing the claim? Below is the download from the online service history.
Anyone have experience of dealing with Audi Extended Warranty would also be welcome?
