Now my wife’s driving more regularly I worked out combined across all of our cars we did 35000 miles in 2023. No wonder something always needs servicing or tyres. What’s your combined household annual mileage?

About the same here. Mrs BigM 12K year, year in year out barely alters. Me 12K year in the Sprinter again never changes. The rest is scattered across the toys and holidays. Usually manage about 5K year across the track day fleet.

Just my wife and I. As she's currently on maternity leave:

2022 X5 45e - family car so ~9k a year

2015 M135i - old daily with ~130k miles now used by (mainly me) when heading out solo so ~2k a year

2014 NC750x - I use this to commute into London (when not freezing/wet) so ~5k a year

My wife is due to go back to work ~3 days a week from March so the X5 will likely go to 10-12k and as the baby gets older I'm sure that the M135i will be used more than it is currently (previously doing ~16k a year)

Most of the mileage is on my CLS… long haul, uni runs, commute. About 12k pa.

My wife does about 5k in her old X5.

2-3k leisure miles in my 996 4S. Pitiful. I do more on my road bike!

New driver daughter racked up about 3000 since passing her test in late Nov!

There's only me and as I'm no longer working I'm surprised I did as much as 10,000 miles in 2023!

Mind you 2,000 in a week in my fun car for the NC500 pushed that up a bit. smile

For me it’s around 24k P.A & other half does 6k. I tend to do 3k in her car to spread it across cars

1,500 miles each for my two ‘fun’ cars, would be half that if I didn’t go to as many shows and events.

10-12,000 a year in the family car.

I’d like to reduce it to be less than 10k a year across all cars if possible, to be more environmentally friendly.

I'd guess maybe 3000-5000 per year. We dropped to one car when we moved 5 years ago. I cycle to work every day (3km), my wife got an ebike and cycles to work (12km, works 3 days a week) most of the time but takes the car when the weather crap. Most of our mileage is holidays.

We spread our mileage over several cars.

The strangest one is the Passat Estate which we bought for University transportation. The stars rarely align so that they start/finish on the same day due to assignments, lectures and work. So in the week before Christmas I covered 1k collecting from Birmingham and Manchester. And repeat in the New Year. Then the car sits for a couple of months before we use it to visit them. Repeat at Easter, Summer, September and Christmas.

One car here, Skoda Karoq bough new in 11/21, just gone past 21500 nearly all on trips to daughter in Doncaster which is 125 miles each way and 4 trips to SW France. Shops are fairly local so we sometimes walk and sometimes we go in to Cambridge which is 22 miles each way.
