I always thought this vehicle looked excellent and wondered why more weren't built.

As anyone ever seen one for sale? Driven one? What happened to VEMAC (I believe they are gone--but why?)

Any local knowledge would be much appreciated.

I kind of wonder what happened to Invicta for that matter...

Yes!

I interviewed Luke Craft for Evo magazine, probably 22 years ago now, and we talked about the Vemac as well as, of course, the Rocket. David Vivian drove the RD180 for Evo shortly after.

Have I ever seen one in the wild? No. A shame, it was lovely. Expensive though, and there was the Elise, as well as all the small volume UK sports cars.

Fairly sure the RD180 never made it beyond the prototype stage due to the need for a bespoke gearbox to mount the Honda engine longitudinally, the RD200 (with transverse engine) was sold in very small numbers in Japan.

How many were made? Were they built in the UK or Japan?
