Incorrect car details with some insurers
Discussion
I bought a BMW in 2019 and transferred my private plate from my Ford in the process.
Ever since, every year when it comes to renewing insurance I have significant issues getting insurance companies to correctly link the reg to my new car.
The DVLA and MID databases are correct and show my current car.
Comparison sites show the correct details for my current car.
When I either click through to the insurance company, or go directly to them for a quote, about half of them still have my old car listed, and half of them have my current car correctly listed.
This year, Aviva appears to have the records for the old and current car merged together, so some info is correct, and other incorrect.
I talked to the DVLA who said that because their DB is correct, there is nothing they can do.
I've talked to a number of insurance companies who all say they have no idea why the information is incorrect when it comes through to their systems.
Any suggestions on who on earth I need to contact to correct this?
