Main dealers, don’t you love them?

Dacia Duster (18 months old and 10k miles when this started) with Renault EDC gearbox, goes on the following main dealer journey. Fault reported is a vibration felt in the car when it changes gear between 25 and 35mph:
Dealer one. There is a vibration but we’ve no idea if it’s normal as we’ve never seen or driven another EDC Duster. Car returned.
Dealer two. There’s something wrong with the gearbox (I never said there was and said that there is a vibration which would be the gearbox). We’ve reset it and it’s not addressed the issue please return it so we can strip the gearbox down (this sent in an email).
Dealer two, visit two. We’ve reset the gearbox (they said in writing they did this during the last visit) and there’s nothing wrong with the car. Drive it for 500 miles to see if it’s okay. The car is of course exactly as it was at the beginning of the dealer visits.
Dealer three (this one actually Renault owned) there is something wrong with the gearbox and we can see no record of any prior work in the Renault/Dacia system where such things are logged. The settings in the gearbox are totally wrong. We’d like to keep the car for a few more days post gearbox reset (is this three attempts or just one, who knows).
This is a car as simple as a modern car gets and after 4 visits I don’t have a car in my hands that behaves as it did when new or in the same way as another Duster with the exact same drivetrain. Unlike dealer one I have seen and driven another which had no vibration.
I should say I’ve only got this far because Dacia UK are involved and have spent no money but it is hassle. I’ve also got to drive an electric Zoe, a petrol MG and a mild hybrid Volvo. The Volvo wins hands down in case anyone is interested, a lovely car.
The real message here. If you think a warranty is any use in the Renault empire think again and if you need a repair outside of warranty look for an independent as the people I have spoke to in this journey are numpties (opinion on dealer three reserved for now). If I hadn’t made a fuss I’d be driving around with a heavy vibration that may or may not be doing damage. This saga has been going on for over 4 months.

I feel your pain. I’ve an MG4 with an intermittent airbag fault, it pings on and off every few seconds on the dashboard. 4 times it’s been in for rectification and yet the problem persists. I’m less than impressed. Useless.
If it wasn’t for the fact I’m in negative equity it’d be gone.

I took my company Passat GTE to the VW dealer near Old Trafford for a fault with the gearbox where it takes forever to engage reverse. amongst some other faults which were almost fixed.
I went to pick it up and I was told that I will have to take it to the VW dealer in Stockport as the fault is caused by the high voltage battery and they don't have the knowledge or experience to fix it. I was told what the codes are and to make my way over there for them to fix it.
Amazing!!!!!
