Sorry not sure if I’m posting in the right place but fingers crossed!

I have a car on PCP with a few years left. A car reversed into me at the end of last year, the grille and bumper needed replacing and bumper was sprayed to match the rest of the car. I got multiple quotes and went to a local bodyshop with excellent reviews. I know the colour would be difficult to match, but it’s a very noticeable difference and my concern is that I’ll be charged a large amount by the company we got the car from if I go to hand it back in 3 years time. They also painted chips on the hood that we didn’t ask for and they’re very noticeable too.

I went back to the bodyshop, they agreed it wasn’t the best but didn’t seem willing to do much. They did say they’d blend the sides for no extra charge, but any blending into the hood would be an extra which doesn’t seem fair. I’m worried that the blending would just make it look worse as the paint is so off.

Wondering if anyone has any advice for what the best thing to do/ask for is?

Admitted that "it's not the best"!
Get them to re do it so that it is "the best"

they should be able to call the paint manf and request lighter /darker /whatever shades to try or most likely already have alternate shades available to them , they could then spray these out and offer up to the car and choose the closest one

or have a magic eye machine that scans the paint and picks a close match

repaint the bumper and blend this into the wings

sounds like they picked out standard shade without checking , painted it and threw it on , half the time people dont care and accpet it

Get them to speak to their paint supplier, ask for paint to be eyematched to the car & then repaint it, blending as necessary.

Just tell your insurer the repair is not good enough and they need to sort it to avoid end of term costs.
