I've noticed that when I'm behind the wheel of cars with a higher driving position, headlight glare seems to be less of an issue.

Have others found a similar link between the height of their vehicle and the reduction in glare from oncoming headlights?

Yes. It's because headlights are dipped (they point down).

It's definitely worse in a low car, especially when you're being followed or approached by a car with particularly high mounted headlights (like most SUVs and bigger vans).

Yes. One of the reasons it’s not fun to daily a ‘sports’ car.

I thought it was just me getting older and eyes not responding as fast, only realised when work kept giving me SUV's hire cars, I asked for compact, standard, intermediate a SUV gets delivered every time.
