Royal Mail Van Dinged My Door

So my car has a new bit of red paint transfer, for the second time in around a year. I suspected it was the Royal Mail van previously, as there was no other red vehicles parked next to mine. This time, I can confirm that there was definitely no vehicles next to me at any point matching the description, and it occurred during or very near postal delivery time. Damage is small but annoying, chipped some of my paint off with some red paint residue. The same has happened to another vehicle of a family member who parks in the same place. Obviously, I don't expect any sort of compensation to fix, as I can't really provide proof.

Essentially looking to prevent this happening in the future, CCTV for the area might be tricky as it's public parking opposite the house. Is a chat with the Postie likely to backfire?

Just report it to Royal Mail directly they’ll probably just pay up no issue. They have the largest fleet of vehicles in Europe they probably deal with hundreds of claims a week.

Go directly to the local delivery office and ask to speak to the COM. The opening hours will be on the RM website.
