Cupra Leon airbag error - lease return

Hi all just had an Amber airbag error (seems to be common on VAGs) message pop up on my ‘21 cupra Leon (lease) but it’s due to be returned to the finance company next Wednesday - would this be rejected for pickup from BCA ? And what’s the quickest way to reset it

You'll need to get hold of an obd reader that has the function that can reset the light.

Can't help on the pickup though as don't lease cars.

You can reset it, but if the fault's still there, the airbag light will come back on.

But the code reader will give you a fault code, so you can get fixed whatever the problem is.

But it might be cheaper to let them fix it (the lease co) and then charge you. It will be in the terms & conditions of the lease.

Really common for the cable under the seat to get pulled out slightly.

As said though either get a code reader on it (I'll read it for you if you're near ripon) or call the dealer for a warranty claim.

You could call Cupra Assist, but it might mess things up if they decide the car has to go to a dealer.

BCA will ask you if there are any warning lights on prior to collection.
From my experience with the collection drivers, they check the car for fuel and warning lights before their lift drives off.
