Just stumbled across this...

https://www.carsized.com/en/cars/compare/ferrari-t...

It allows you to make a visual comparison of the relative sizes of two cars. Just change the cars on either side to the ones you're interested in comparing!

Excellent timing with your post -
I was in a BMW dealership on Friday and was thinking that the current 3 series was bigger than the 5 series that I remember from the 1980's.
Thanks for giving me the tool to confirm my suspicion.

That is so cool. I would love to know how they got all the images for the cars drawn up so perfectly.

I like that. Good find.

Reminds me of the www.cycle-ergo.com site that lets you compare motorbike sizes and geometry.

that's a great website. Interesting how it challenges your perception of car sizes. I would have said that the BMW 8 series coupe was about 350-400mm longer than a 4 series coupe. In reality its only 83mm longer.

The current 4 series is massive in fairness though.

No use for women as a cars size is down to "feels" and not irrelevant things like dimensions.

I have a MK3 Renault Megane Coupe, my parents have a MK3 Renault Scenic. Apparently the Scenic is "massive" even thought the length and width are virtually exactly the same.

To be fair, any car bigger than a Mazda 2 is "massive" apparently. We once arrived at the airport and were handed the keys to a Renault Captur which is just a jacked up Clio. You guessed it, upon seeing it she immediately said "massive".

An ND MX-5 almost fits within the wheelbase of a Chevy Suburban!

Excellent tool - something I wished existed for years.
Turns out, it did.

Good job OP.

Quite a good site (adverts aside!) and I'd used it when changing cars recently to justify that there really wasn't much between them. And there isn't. However just looked at what my wife was driving when we met (VW Up!) compared to what she's driving now (LWB VW Transporter) and the differences are significant! Thankfully I've gradually increased the car sizes year on year so she doesn't notice... bit like my belly.

Found this earlier.

Parking can be pretty tight where we are so it very useful comparing potential cars over what we already had where an extra 20cm can make all the difference!

You might find this useful, it's actually for car v garages but if you plug in you driveway size it might help.
