Tuthill's latest 911 SCRS looks wheely good

As always, there’s plenty to be excited by, from a GT3 flywheel to two-way adjustable dampers, but the most interesting part of this Porsche backdate might be the bike that comes with it. So not only has the road bike been paint matched to Magic Mushroom, Tuthill has also created a bespoke carbon bracket for it, so the bike can go wherever the Porsche does. In typical Tuthill fashion, the bracket is a model of lightweight style, the rear wheel nestled just behind the ducktail spoiler and the roof clip barely noticeable by the window. It’s like an old 911 was always meant to carry a bike, so well integrated is the rack. What a road trip pair they would make - Porsche to go up the hill, bike for the way down…
This is no mere cosmetic exercise, either, even though having a blue side and a pink side (which extends to the stitching and the door decals) is quite funky. Once a two-wheel drive 993 Carrera, Magic Mushroom is now to Tuthill’s SCRS spec, and has had its 3.6-litre rebuilt to 3.8-litres; the flat six now includes RSR throttle bodies, RSR cams and a GT3 flywheel, so it’ll hopefully rev like a race car. The exhaust is bespoke, as is the intake. Given this was once a 285hp car, the tweaks must be comfortably beyond 300hp, perhaps 350. More than enough with weight taken out as well.
However, this isn’t another road racer 911. The kilos have been removed but with a careful eye on NVH and refinement, the six-speed gearbox has touring ratios and the audio system has been upgraded. Suppose if the bike can come along everywhere as well, real thrills are never far away. Inside the completely redone interior, Magic Mushroom gets Tuthill’s own lightweight carbon seats trimmed ‘as per our client requests’ - it’s definitely green alright. And looks pretty good. Note also the carbon steering wheel, plus ‘our clients’ favourite drinks hand-painted on the back of the headrests.’ Because why not.
So just when it seemed like every 911 backdate had been done, here’s the stripped, blasted and rebuilt 993 that can carry a road bike along. No doubt the owner will enjoy many happy miles on two wheels and four in the near future. We’re not jealous one little bit.
I've got an older version of the bike, and carried it the same way (seasucker mount not custom) when I had the Alfa - Fast Italian bike on a fast Italian car - such a cool way to arrive anywhere.

Also I don’t like this car at all. Big 911 and tuthill fan but this does nothing for me. Think it’s the exterior colour and the light surrounds.
Not generally a fan of black wheels but I think they really suit this with a good chunk of rubber..
I would change the interior to a more mountain bike friendly brown. An old school friend of my brother (who’s now a pro rider) has the right idea.
