Digital service history

Any advice on getting a paper copy of my digital service history as I'm a bit stumped. Car is a 2016 merc a class.
My nearest merc dealer wanted v5 and license before giving me it, not ideal as I live on a rural island, also, the services in my ownership have been done by independent garages so I don't know if the dealer would have the full history to give me. I contacted the Mazda garage that the car was purchased from and they could only offer me proof for the service that was done at their garage. And yes my local garage assured me the service was uploaded (using the key I think)? Any advice much appreciated!

Will the dealer accept a photocopy of the licence/V5/etc posted to them - they'd be posting the results back to the addresses listed on both documents (assuming all is above board).

If you are desperate for the printout and it is worth your while (eg. increased part ex value) then you could courier the original docs to the dealer.

Otherwise just call in to a dealer next time you go to a town with one.

I had the digital service history printed out for me by my old specialist, they printed the lot out and didn't require ID that I recall but it was a while back and I'd purchased various things from them.

As for what's captured, it'll be any services done by Mercedes themselves or any updated by a specialist who has access to it.

Can't travel at the moment and they wouldn't accept a photocopy, it was my first question. My main question is can I obtain the full service history from Mercedes garage. It wasn't fully serviced by them before my ownership.

Not sure if the rules have changed recently but I originally set up my My Mazda app using my name and address and VIN. Recently they did a reset and I had to supply a copy (via email) to Mazda customer services of the V5 to access the app again.

I have a 2009 Mercedes, and when I bought it in 2020, I was allowed to do my own service history enquiry using Mercedes Me. Changes to GDPR put a stop to that in 2022. Only dealers and marque specialists can do it.

However, I have multiple print outs provided when the car was serviced in the past. Do you not have any invoices or receipts from previous owners? I'd be reluctant to buy any car without this.

I know of a car where a job number and mileage were mixed up by the tech entering the details online. It's clear the mileage is wrong, but apparently it's practically impossible to get VAG to change the details on their system.
