Dent repair before selling to trade or not?

Ugh, with typically bad timing Ive just decided to change cars which involves the current one being sold to trade via Motorway etc and have just scored a bonnet dent from a heroically sized stone

My local Smart repair chap is a friend of a friend, I say this as I trust him not because Im asking for mates rates, and he has quoted £350 to make it good

The question is quite simply do I give him the cash and present a 5y old car in mint condition worth approx 20k by their calculators or not bother and see what they offer?

Unfortunately Motorway wont give an adjusted price until I upload all of my details and so I cant game it and see what the price differential is

£350 is worth it.

The traders will knock off £1500 at least as they will say it might need a new bonnet from you description and factor one into the trade in value.
They would just get the dent repaired as you are doing once they bought the car and keep the extra £1000 profit.
