So annoying...

Just to get my rant in...

I need new Xenon D1S bulbs and was thinking will I get Amazon specials for £20 or will I get some Osrams so I decided the latter would be best and I saw some Osram long lifes on ebay for just over £100 inc some discount - a decent price I guess, however moments later I saw nightbreakers for sale for approx £20 more so got those and cancelled the previous order - it was no more than 2 minutes later, tops.

The seller declined to cancel as the order was shipped out, I mean fair play for posting them out Thursday night during Storm Darragh but I think this is what negative feedback is for? a terrible waste of both of our time considering I need to waste more time in getting these sent back to the seller at my expense.

rant over on ebay!

Make sure when you write your negative feedback that you're really clear that the seller sent out your stuff too quickly so that everyone knows you're nuts and not to take it seriously.

Or, preferably, just don't.

So, in summary, you’re going to leave negative feedback for a seller shipping something too promptly that you want to cancel because you didn’t do your research properly?

What’s your eBay username so I can add it to my blocked bidder list?

The reality is that the eBay seller had not shipped them out at that time, he will have a Royal Mail collection, the following day at 4pm (as an example) and that is what you are frustrated about, as a cancellation should be easy.

They may however have Mintsoft or something similar that produces a label and a pick sheet for warehouse staff and isn't setup for manual intervention, i.e a cancellation.

You are correct, though, as a little bit of human intervention could have saved them the cost of outbound post, which cannot be deducted under distance selling laws and also your costs to return which you are more concerned with.

Negative feedback? No don't be daft.

Its not really the return postage, its the hassle of me getting time to send them back but common sense has prevailed and the seller cancelled the order and issued a refund - maybe it was some automated thing as previously mentioned but I have not seen it before on ebay - member since Jan 2005

incidentally the Osram Night breakers I do want are not shipped yet

Take the cheaper bulbs, put them in the more expensive bulb boxes and return those instead.

Maybe not do that on second thoughts.
