Can you help identify this car?

Hi all,

I need some help. Our house was broken into this week, and we've only got a few clues from the CCTV. One of them is this video, which came from a neighbour's camera. The car in the film at 17:18:06 slowed right down passing our house and clearly scouted us about 20 minutes before the break in. He avoided parking near to our cameras, but our neighbour caught an image.



I've been racking my brains on what this car is, it looks like a coupe, but maybe longer, but it's not clear enough for me to make it out.

It might be a long shot... but does anyone here have any ideas what this could be?

I do appreciate that it might be unrelated, but the Police have asked for anything at all that might help.

This happened to friends recently, destroyed the windows of three 2nd floor rooms getting in, including stained glass requiring specialist renovation. Absolute scum. CID were certain they knew the culprits but without proof were powerless to act.

Resolution is too poor to identify much detail there. I'm seeing anything from Audi TT to Toyota CHR in that shadowy shape. I hope they slip up elsewhere and get nailed, preferably with the 3" variety.

I’d go with a Model 3 as well. When it drives through the gap in the trees the shape of the rear passenger window is very pointy like a Model 3.

I thought Model Y as it looked a little more jacked up, but absolutely could be a Model 3. I'm pretty certain it's a Tesla though, the pointy bit of the rear window is what made me think Tesla (I think the Y has the same pointy bit), and as it left shot I thought it looked like Tesla rear lights.

Similar but I think 2010-2016 (or therabouts) E Class Coupe.

Slow the video down to 0.25 speed on a big screen its more obvious.

I guess that nobody will look at a Tesla, it fits in. And if they are doing this every night, based on what they stole from us they can afford one. Scumbags.

I can't add anything helpful - but I'm sorry you've been burgled. It's an awful experience, many of us have been through it - losing irreplaceable things in many instances. Horrid for you to go through.

Thank you, it's the sentimental value that's greater than anything. And it's been an expensive lesson, but fortunately nobody was hurt.
