New cars being sold with old tech

Are there any examples of new cars being sold with things like a CD player, roll up windows, manual adjustment wing mirrors etc. Excluding obscure cars like a Lada

Look at vans for basic

Until the new model, you could buy a transit custom with manual mirrors that you had to get into adjust, no radio at all, halogen headlights, no air conditioning, not sure about manual windows though.

I saw a fiesta the other day on a 23 plate with hubcaps though.

Car wise I think even the most basic fiat panda has air conditioning, and a USB port but manual mirrors and steel wheels, no auto lights or buttons on the steering wheel or even cruise control. But no crash sensors as it’s so long in the tooth.

I had the misfortune of hiring a 9k mile old vauxhall van, transit equivalent when I moved 2 years ago.

Not only did the piece of st piss oil all over our lovely new drive but it didn't have air con which was rough in 30 degree heat.

Manual mirrors or windows are not old tech, and they shouldn't be put in the same category as a CD player for instance.

I think I read that the last car with a CD player had gone off sale recently, which is a shame as it is a very versatile media format if you can't connect a phone for whatever reason, including there being no data signal.

I have a VW ID.7 on order.

It has rear drum brakes.

I'm sure perfectly acceptable performance wise but certainly seems pretty old as I've not had a car with rear drums since I was 17 (classics excepted).

Yep, rear drums never went away on supermini type cars and are now being fitted to some expensive EVs.

Not sure if they were the last, but Minis had front drums upto early 1980s IIRC.

Dacia Sandero Stepway essential has manual mirrors, manual windows in the back and a manual handbrake.

Last car I owned with manual mirrors was a 1988 Peugeot 205 Gti, so seeing this when I sat in one is a little strange.

The ID.3 can be had with wheel trims.

Came here to post this. My wife had a very late 21 plate 4 series with the manual handbrake, seemed very old fashioned for its time but I quite liked it.
