Morning All

My old mans Mitsubishi L200 Pick up has been condemned due to 'Chassis Flex'. Pardon my ignorance but how does that happen??

Is it a mixture of him towing heavy loads such cattle trailers etc full of cattle and also old age?? (shes 2011).

Sorry if this is an obvious question

I guess a main load-bearing structural member has fractured, deformed or corroded such that structural rigidity is significantly reduced.

Not unheard of on the L200, similarly the Nissan Navara.

It tends to be corrosion that's eaten away at the structure.

It was more for demonstration purposes than suggesting it was a Mitsubishi chassis.

OTOH, with a little cut and shut, I wonder whether you could brace it with a LR chassis? 'MitsuRover?' smile
