4 mile ring lap

I think I have missed the '4 mile' reference, but ~8:24 in an extensively modified 500bhp Golf GTi doesn't seem overly exciting or impressive to me... and it sounded absolutely terrible too.

I'm amazed that Charoudin doesn't crash or ruin more of the viewer's cars - he leaves absolutely no margin passing traffic, or treats anything vaguely gently.

Based on the YT comments, I think that while the Nordschliefe is a fairly well known length, the odometer on the Golf's dashboard appears to be experiencing a 'malfunction' and isn't counting all the miles driven.

When you catch sight of the milage readout it is showing 33914 at Zielgerade (time stamp 2:58), by the time he gets to Karussel he has only gained one mile to reach 33915 (time stamp 8:07), at Bellof 33916 (time stamp 9:52). So probably a 3 mile lap in reality!

I do wonder what else happens we don't see. The cars he drives I don't know if they are checked beforehand, it surely is a matter of time till there is a problem as I'm not sure I would trust a lot of random Joe blogs machinery.

From what I’ve seen no checks at all are done. See people on mismatched tires, this guy in this video has two different brand of tire front and rear for example. Never once seen them check coolant, oil or tire pressure. Not uncommon for these so called track weapons to start chucking EMLs 4-5mins in due to overheating either.

I understood that he did a load of checks first and won't drive something put in front of him if not wholly satisfied that car is totally safe.

So what are we saying insurance fraud, insured for xxxx miles per year?

Or Finance company fraud, limited to say 8000 per year or 20p per mile over?

Or simply selling it on knowingly clocked fraud?

He has stacked cars plenty of times. I enjoyed his content at the beginning as it was mostly quirky and interesting well thought out cars. Yugo and Skoda 110R for example but now it is mainly chavved out rubbish and I do not want to feed the algorithm when the inevitable happens and someone dies. I much preferred the build side of the content rather than the actual lap anyway.

His second channel is better than his number 1 channel now (IMO) more about doing builds, news on the Nurburgring and other bits.
I think he is trying to build the following on his second channel to the point it can be his main channel. I suspect he’s getting a bit fed up of just being known for doing laps in peoples cars.
