In the style of a Chris Harris podcast discussion, what are your favourite car seats? Mine are the Porsche 928 sports seats, ideally with piping as seen here:

Not the ones in my Superb….

Has to be a classic Ford, either fishnet Recaros or RS Recaros (Fiesta/Escort/Sierra)

I read that as .... most comfortable seats. So.....my '95 Volvo 850 seats have been the most comfortable seats to ever take a decent length of journey seated in. The T5R version was pretty nice with the Alcantara inserts.

How about the Daytona style Ferrari seats. Handsome me thinks.

Saab 9000 seats are usually rated as being some of the best. Of the cars I've owned, my old Clio 197 seats were surprisingly good, being the standard cloth and not recaro option.

Actually surprised me at how comfortable the, only adjustable forward and backwards, Sabelts are in my Alpine.

Absolutely fine for 7 hours or more a day when I drove it to Tenerife from London and back.

They look really nice too.

Ford RS1600i seats were very very good in the early 80's. I believe they were made by Scheel and were certainly on a par or slightly better than Recaro for support ,comfort and style. Very sought after and expensive these days and certainly a big selling point at that time. I think Ford got it spot on.

Another vote for the seats of a Saab 9000 Aero. Really comfortable over time with decent support.

Those aren't the same seats.

The pasha ones are non-sport and more comfortable for it.

Recaro CS are up there for me. Having had them in a Clio 197 they were very comfortable.

One of the reasons I bought my FK8 was the seats, again very comfortable for what they are.

Contours (as used in works Escorts and Minis), possibly the most comfortable seats I've ever used:

Recaro's from any 80's top end uber saloon, particularly from any of those wild aftermarket conversions - AMG, Strosek, Brabus et al. What car nut didn't fall for a million buttons on the seat squab!

Love the seats in my Jag XK - 20 odd ways of adjusting the position and they're heated and got cooling vents and a fan in them. Love the cooling fan on long summer drives, the heating as I live in Scotland and being able to tighten the bolsters up in a second for the twisties or soften stuff up for the motorway cruises. Look beautiful in ivory leather.

Best looking seats were the ones in my old Alfa 147 GTA, which were superbly supportive and had the heating element in them, but they couldn't be adjusted much. They had that gorgeous Italian stitching and two tone leather to match the door cards.
