Parking ticket

Hi everyone
I’m new here
Need some advice
Me and the wife got a valentines voucher for a restaurant in faversham Kent
So we get to the restaurant no parking available
So drive down the road
See a car pulling away so I park where the car was
No on this road they have a few parts where the road is raised up to meet the pavement
This is one of them where we parked
Checked on the wall next to us no signs up
Checked on the lampposts no signs
Other cars along the road parked on the same as us
Checked kerb stones no markings
4 meters along they have double yellow lines
With kerb markings
So go to restaurant return to find a PCN
Appealed it with Swale council
They rejected the appeal but state that they do not have to put up signs or any road markings
To show any parking restrictions
On Google all I can find is that there must be road signs or markings
Any help much appreciated

Sounds like it might be a crossing point of some kind.
Post up the Google map link so we can take a look.
