Been looking at Lexus, and in European and US spec they have the option of auto parking, which doesn't seem to be available on the UK spec cars. Presumably not related to Left vs Right hand drive as they're a Japanese brand.
Also the dealer I spoke to didn't know if it can do remote air-conditioning, which the Dutch spec ones can.

I'm aware that some JDM cars are available with more power than export models, but are there other gizmo's that UK spec cars don't seem to have that are available elsewhere?

US Mustangs can be started and even revved on the key. Not so in UK (or Europe).

As the owner of a UK Mustang, I do not miss not having these features.

Our foreign cousins are able to honk horn via the app.

Even though the handbook shows it, a blind spot indicator on the door mirror was not available on UK models of Hyundai i20N

Electrified door handles.

Have seen them in South Africa. DOubt they're a dealer fit or factory option though

Remote garage door opening button, normally standard in USA spec Mercs and BMW and shown in the book but not in UK cars. Would be very handy.

I've had this feature on several BMW M's & Audi RS's). It wasn't standard spec, but was a factory option (can't recall its exact name) & provided 3 buttons above the rear view mirror. One for Remote Garage, 1 for Remote Gate & a 3rd which i never worked out what that could be used for.

A simple programme of the remote to the car & hey presto (please note, it wasn't always that simple)smile

Certainly BMWs and Audis here have this. It's largely useless and doesn't work on any garage equipment that's remotely good though.

Yep my rebadged Opel permits honking. Have refrained trying it out as I'm sure the sodding beep beep every time it locks is sufficiently annoying.
