Following on from the "Have you ever seen a car you'd sold previously ? "

I'll start -

I've owned my Audi A1 Quattro three times , just bought it back a few weeks ago ,I have an agreement ( on a handshake ) with the previous owner that if we decide to sell the other gets first option , - great car . If I live another twenty years or so we should end up owning it about nine times each !

I owned a Porsche 993 C4S three times and a 996C4S cabriolet twice.

Hell no, once they're gone, they're gone! Then it's time to move on to a new, fresh, driving experience.

My first car in about 1987 was a 1965 Triumph Vitesse 6. In 2019 I found it on Ebay in a sorry state and was worried it would be broken for parts so I bought it back. I then commissioned a full body restoration and respray, then sold it knowing I'd given it another life. It was lovely to see it again and enjoy it for a while but I had no use for it. I lost about £1000 on it but I'd do it again.

I came quite close to buying my old Astra VXR when it popped up for sale last year (or it might have been the year before)

Looking at the pics in detail though it seemed like the 15yrs out of my ownership had really taken its toll so I decided that it would likely be a money pit and not worth it.

I’d love to purchase my first car (SJ410) and restore it but when it was sold back in ‘99 the guy who bought it openly admitted he only wanted it as a parts car so it’s long gone.
